Microsoft launches Visual Studio Code for Apple M1 Mac

Apple M1 hip launched last year revived people’s illusions about the ARM architecture. With its powerful software ecological appeal, shortly after the release of the M1 MacBook, various x86 software vendors have expressed that they will adapt the M1 chip as soon as possible.

Recently, Microsoft’s open-source code editor Visual Studio Code released the 1.54 stable version update, announcing that it has been fully adapted to the M1 chip and is fully compatible with the macOS ARM platform.

Since the new stable version of Visual Studio Code no longer needs macOS Rosetta for translation, the M1 MacBook can get better performance and low power consumption when in use.

Microsoft pointed out that version 1.54 of Visual Studio Code is general-purpose software that can be used on the macOS on the ARM platform as well as on the macOS on the Intel platform.
