Microsoft officially launched Azure Security Center for IoT
As early as April this year, Microsoft announced a public preview of the Azure Security Center for IoT to prevent security vulnerabilities in the IoT deployment from being exploited by other attackers. Today, the software giant officially launched the Azure Security Center for IoT. As the name implies, this is a system solution for managing enterprise infrastructure security, covering local, Azure, and other cloud service providers.
Cross-platform interoperability benefits from a good relationship between Microsoft and its partners. For example, in June, Microsoft announced that it had reached a cooperation with Oracle. Microsoft claims that the IoT Security Center collects more than 6 trillion signals per day and prioritizes identified risks. In addition, the tool identifies potential errors or even unsafe configuration information.
The Redmond giant is positioning Security Center for IoT as the first end-to-end solution of its kind, stating:
[Azure Security Center is] the first IoT security service from a major cloud provider that enables organizations to prevent, detect, and help remediate potential attacks on all the different components that make up an IoT deployment: from small sensors, to edge computing devices and gateways, to Azure IoT Hub, and on to the compute, storage, databases, and AI/ML workloads that organizations connect to their IoT deployments.
