Microsoft is developing Money in Excel to help you control of your money
Many users use accounting applications to analyze their income and expenditures. Such applications can also import credit card bills to help you analyze related consumption expenses.
But you may not expect that Microsoft Excel will usher in a similar function. As a professional table drawing tool, Excel can both draw and analyze data.
So Microsoft decided to develop a new feature called Money in Excel for ordinary consumers, which can connect bank accounts and credit cards to analyze financial data.
Microsoft has provided templates for financial analysis in Excel for users to configure and use. Of course, users have to fill in the data manually by themselves, so it is slightly troublesome.
To this end, Microsoft intends to simplify the user’s work and provide automated analysis services. As long as the user connects his bank card or credit card account, relevant data can be imported.
According to Microsoft, this function can automatically analyze the income and expenditure records of bank accounts, and at the same time can obtain credit card bills and record according to the type of consumption and month.
With Money in Excel you’ll be able to…
- Securely connect bank accounts and credit cards to view your financial information without ever leaving Excel.
- Keep your workbook up to date by syncing your latest transaction and account info.
- Gain insight into your finances with charts, graphs, and alerts based on your data.
- Customize with additional templates for tracking your net worth, recurring payments, and more.
- Add your own sheets to create personalized financial views with your favorite Excel features.
Users can easily and conveniently view their income and expenditure records and consumption records on a monthly basis and can use these records to improve their consumption and spending habits.
This feature is currently under development and can only be connected to some bank accounts. At this stage, the direct import of credit card bills is not supported, so many users cannot use it.
