Microsoft Edge is available on Apple M1 devices
After Apple launched the M1 chip, major software developers are currently actively adapting it. Microsoft began to adapt the M1 chip to Microsoft’s browser at the end of last year.
However, more users hope to get a better and more stable Microsoft Edge browser. After all, the Canary version has a very high change frequency and poor stability. Based on user feedback, Microsoft has now launched the Canary, Dev, and Beta versions for the M1 chip.
Relatively speaking, the stability of the test version and the development version is slightly better than that of the Canary version, so users of the Apple M1 devices can try the new Microsoft Edge version.
The difference between the channels are as follows:
- Canary Channel
- Updated daily
- Want to see what we were working on yesterday? Canary will be released automatically almost every night to keep you up to date on our progress.
- Dev Channel
- Updated weekly
- Our dev builds are the best representation of our improvements in the past week. They have been tested by the Microsoft Edge team, and are generally more stable than Canary.
- Beta Channel
- Major update every 6 weeks
- The Beta channel is the most stable Microsoft Edge preview experience. With major updates every 6 weeks, each release incorporates learnings and improvements from our Dev and Canary builds.
