Microsoft Edge browser now offers performance mode
Two new features have appeared in Microsoft Edge Canary, the most eye-catching of which is the performance mode.
According to its description, the performance mode can help users optimize speed, response speed, memory, CPU, and battery usage, and performance improvements may vary according to users’ personal specifications and browser habits. This function needs to be activated in the settings. And when the user opens the performance mode, the Sleeping Tabs will not be available. Users want to get this feature on Canary Build 91.0.856.0 or higher, and use the following flag to get it:
-enable-features=msPerformanceModeToggle
Another function is to add text to the PDF document. With this function, users can add text to any PDF document opened by Microsoft Edge, and it supports a touch screen and pen.
However, this feature requires users need to update to Edge Canary Build 91.0.859.0 or higher to be eligible for testing.
