Microsoft announces Windows Subsystem for Android hardware requirements
Recently, Microsoft introduced the Windows Subsystem for Android to Windows 11 through optional updates, and Microsoft has partnered with Amazon to provide users with Android app downloads. Although the Windows Subsystem for Android is currently only used in the United States, interested users only need to modify the region to download and install the Android subsystem. Of course, the Windows Subsystem for Android itself has hardware requirements. If the hardware configuration is low, it may not be able to run or run relatively laggy, so Microsoft has also published relevant documents.
These are the requirements to install Android apps on Windows 11:
- Memory: 8GB (16GB recommended).
- Processor: Intel Core i3 8th Gen, AMD Ryzen 3000, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8c, or better.
- Storage: Solid-state drive (SSD).
- Microsoft Store app: Version 22110.1402.6.0 or higher.
- Windows 11: Build 22000.526 or higher (stable channel).
If the system meets the above conditions and the system region is the United States, you can download the Windows Subsystem for Android via Microsoft Store. After installing the KB5010414 update, the system will receive the push of the Windows Subsystem for Android, or users can go to the Microsoft Store to manually search for the Windows Subsystem for Android and then download and install it.
