Microsoft rolls out Android subsystem features and multiple functional improvements to Windows 11

Microsoft has previously announced that it will launch several new features to Windows 11 this month, and these features have been tested in the development channel. Now that these new features have arrived in the official version of Windows 11 via the KB5010414 update, users can see the new features after installing the latest updates and getting updates from the Microsoft Store. New features include an Android subsystem for desktop platforms, taskbar enhancements, quick microphone switching, easy window sharing, time and weather improvements, and more.

Windows 11 Android apps

The Android subsystem has been tested in the Dev channel, and now the Android subsystem is pushed to the official version channel of Windows 11, which theoretically all users can use. However, the Android subsystem is only available in the United States. Of course, users can manually change the computer region settings and then download the subsystem and the Amazon Store.

After testing, Microsoft’s redeveloped media player is now rolling out to all users, and users can also manually obtain the media player through the Microsoft Store. After installing the media player, the original Groove Music application is automatically replaced, and the media player has more functions and can be used as a local media player.

The traditional Notepad app has also been redesigned, with more features and support for dark modes, such as quick find and replacements and line-wrapping. The new version of Notepad will also be automatically pushed through the Microsoft Store. If you can’t wait, you can go to the Microsoft Store and click Library and then click Get Update to update it.

All the above functions are pushed through the backend server. In the early stage of push, not all users may receive the update. If you do not receive the update, please wait patiently. The users can install the KB5010414 update manually.
