Meta has revealed that its Meta Quest Store has generated revenue exceeding $1.6 billion
Meta has recently announced that its Meta Quest Store revenue has exceeded $1.6 billion and has helped over 300 virtual reality games enter the market, attracting players. The total number of games included in the store has now exceeded 500.
Aaron Davies, content manager at Oculus Publishing, explained that among the games currently available on the Meta Quest Store, there are 40 games that have accumulated profits of over $10 million, and the number of games that have made over $20 million in profits has grown multiple times compared to the previous year.
They have also assisted over 300 games to attract more players, including games such as “Among Us VR,” “Blade & Sorcery: Nomad,” and “Bonelab,” and have successfully enabled more virtual reality games to enter the market.
Although Meta Quest Store’s revenue has reached $1.6 billion, Meta’s virtual reality business generated nearly $14 billion in losses last year, indicating that while there is profitability in the virtual reality gaming market, the current application of virtual reality technology has not been able to drive revenue.
