Meta confirms that this year’s F8 developer conference will be suspended
After holding the F8 developer conference in an online format for two consecutive years during the COVID-19 epidemic, Facebook parent company Meta earlier confirmed that it would suspend this year’s F8 developer conference. Although the F8 developer conference was announced to be suspended this year, it is not the first time that Meta has suspended the event. In fact, the F8 developer conference was suspended in 2009, 2012, and 2013 respectively.
In addition, even though it is not like interacting with developers through online forms in the past two years, Meta emphasizes that this year, it will still communicate new technologies with developers through other forms, and develops to create richer metaverse applications.
Meta is even more determined to hold an online communication application development event delivered by “conversations” on May 19, including WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram Direct service applications, and to establish more business development. After the large-scale announcement of its entry into the development of the Metaverse last year, it is expected that Meta will have more news about the application layout of the Metaverse this year.
