MediaTek quietly updated the Dimensity 7050 processor
MediaTek has discreetly introduced a new Dimensity 7000 series processor, dubbed the Dimensity 7050, which is expected to debut in the Realme 11 series of smartphones, set to be unveiled on May 10th.
The Dimensity 7050 is fabricated using TSMC’s 6nm process, featuring a “2+6” core arrangement with two Cortex-A78 CPUs operating at 2.6GHz, accompanied by six Cortex-A55 CPUs at 2.0GHz. It is equipped with a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, supports LPDDR5/4X memory standards, and is compatible with UFS 3.1/2.1 storage components.
For displays, it supports resolutions up to 2520 x 1080 and 120Hz refresh rates, while the camera capabilities extend to a maximum of 200-megapixel resolution. The processor facilitates 4K HDR video recording, hardware decoding for HDR video playback, and accommodates up to three ISPs supporting HDR image processing. Additionally, it supports HEVC and H.264 video encoding compression, as well as playback for HEVC, H.264, MPEG-1/2/4, and VP9 formats.
The Dimensity 7050 also emphasizes gaming optimization, including fast Wi-Fi connectivity, 5G HSR transmission mode, and Super Hotspot Connection, ensuring stable network connections during gameplay. Furthermore, it supports Wi-Fi 6 and global satellite navigation systems.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Dimensity 7050 is slated to appear first in the Realme 11 series, with an official announcement scheduled for May 10th.
