Linux Mint 19.3 ISO image is available for testing
The latest news from the Linux Mint project image status page shows that the official version of Linux Mint 19.3 is currently being tested and ready to be released before Christmas. At present, this final version has fixed all the problems found during the test, so if the next test has no new problems, the official version can be ready for release. For the time being, it’s unclear when the final version of the test will be completed, and when the status page is marked as approved, the official version of the image passes the test.
If the user is using the Linux Mint 19.x series, after the official 19.3 version is released, the upgrade can be completed by incremental updates without reinstallation. Of course, if you are using a previous version and want to upgrade the latest version, you need to back up your data and then perform a fresh installation through the image file. According to the official announcement, the 19.3 version is also the final version of the 19.x series. Next, the Linux Mint distribution development plan will be transferred to the 20.x series to release a new version.
