LineageOS 18.1 based on Android 11 supports multiple Android devices

The LineagesOS project team recently announced the launch of the LineagesOS 18.1 version, which is based on the Android 11 version and mainly comes with official support for Android 11. About 60 models of Google, Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola, and Sony support flashing into the system.

Given that Google has not launched Android 11.1, why does LineagesOS launch 18.1? The project team stated that this is actually just a matter of presentation, because the 202012 version of Android 11 is an important security update, prompting this version to become a minor version. Although Google does not call it Android 11.1, LineagesOS will differentiate it through version .1.

In this update, LineagesOS has transplanted all our favorite features of Android 11, including the use of improved notification and bubbles, new media controls, better privacy protection, and the latest emojis. Then there are the novelties of LineagesOS itself: improvements to the recorder and music player, new calendar applications, use of SeedValut as an open-source backup solution, and dark mode for all LineagesOS applications.
