Jensen Huang went to New Delhi to meet with the Indian Prime Minister

Yesterday, NVIDIA’s CEO, Jensen Huang, engaged in a dialogue with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Their discourse centered on advancements in the realm of artificial intelligence, underscoring the burgeoning collaboration between NVIDIA and India.

On the evening of September 4th, within the Prime Ministerial residence in New Delhi, Modi convened with Huang. Modi articulated on social media, “I had an illuminating conversation with Jensen Huang, discussing India’s immense potential in the sphere of artificial intelligence.” It’s noteworthy that this marks the second rendezvous between Modi and Huang. Their dialogue spotlighted NVIDIA’s pivotal role amidst its rapid expansion in India’s burgeoning tech industry.

Post their meeting, Huang further engaged with researchers from esteemed Indian institutions, including the Indian Institutes of Technology and premier scientific research organizations. NVIDIA delineated that the attendees comprised luminaries from diverse technological fields, including large language models, astrophysics, quantum computing, and natural language processing. The discourse gravitated towards harnessing technology to bridge linguistic divides, augment agricultural yields, diminish disparities in healthcare provision, and drive digital economic transformation.

It’s discerned that since NVIDIA initiated its operations in Bengaluru in 2004, marking two decades, they’ve established four engineering development centers located in Gurugram, Hyderabad, Pune, and Bengaluru. Currently, NVIDIA boasts a workforce exceeding 3,800 in India. Within NVIDIA’s developer program, there’s an impressive cohort of over 320,000 Indian developers, and their CUDA parallel computing platform witnesses an average of 40,000 downloads monthly within India.
