iOS 17 will incorporate numerous user-requested features

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman revealed that the upcoming iOS 17 update, which was originally planned to focus on bug fixes and performance improvements, is expected to include additional practical new features.

Internally code-named “Dawn,” iOS 17 is expected to be previewed during WWDC 2023 this year and early test versions will be released to developers. There may be many expected new features added to the update, but there are currently no concrete details available.

In addition to announcing iOS 17, Apple is also expected to update iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, tvOS 17, and macOS 14 simultaneously. In addition, Apple has previously been rumored to be developing a new operating system called xrOS (previously known as realityOS) specifically for use with virtual visual head-mounted devices, which may also be derived from iOS.

As for WWDC 2023, Apple may announce the rumored virtual visual head-mounted device, but it is currently unknown whether more hardware products will be unveiled simultaneously.
