Intel Releases New Microcode Update to Mitigate Spectre and L1TF Variant Vulnerabilities

Intel has now released a new version of microcode updates for partners that address the speculative execution of the Spectre and L1TF variant.

In addition to speculative execution vulnerabilities, there is the latest discovered L1 terminal failure vulnerability. This update is for the 6th to 8th generation Core and Pentium and Celeron series processors.

Also, this update is also applicable to Intel’s server-oriented Xeon series processors. It is recommended that users of the above types of processors be updated in time.
