Intel officially released the Core i9-12900KS

Intel announced the official launch of the Core i9-12900KS, which will provide up to a 5.5 GHz boost clock, support Intel Thermal Velocity Boost, and feature Intel Adaptive Boost Technology for the ultimate gaming experience.

Marcus Kennedy, general manager of Gaming, Creator & Esports Segment at Intel says: “Intel continues to push the envelope for desktop gaming with the new 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900KS processor. Based on Intel’s 12th Gen performance hybrid architecture, this processor can hit 5.5 GHz on up to two cores for the first time, giving the most extreme gamers the ability to maximize performance.

The Core i9-12900KS is equipped with 8 Performance Cores based on the Golden Cove architecture and 8 Efficient Cores based on the Gracemont architecture, with 16 cores and 24 threads, it is equipped with 30MB L3 cache and 14MB L2 cache, PL1/PL2 are 150W and 241W respectively, support DDR4-3200 and DDR5-4800, compatible with existing Z690 motherboards, the latest version is recommended BIOS.

Intel said that the Core i9-12900KS processor will be available on April 5, 2022, with a suggested retail price of $739. It is sold as a boxed processor at retailers worldwide and integrated into the systems of Intel’s channel and OEM partners. Intel will demonstrate the performance of the Core i9-12900KS during the “Intel Talking Tech” live stream event on April 5, 2022, at 12:00 PM PT time.
