Last month, Intel unveiled its 14th-generation Core desktop processor, the Raptor Lake Refresh, at the “Intel Innovation” summit held in San Jose, California. As per previously leaked details, the launch date for the 14th-generation Core processor is set for 6 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on October 17th, 2023
As reported by TomsHardware, Intel has commenced the distribution of the Core i9-14900K processor to media outlets and retailers, with the new product’s packaging recently coming to light. Given the minimal design changes in the new generation of processors, it’s evident that Intel opted for continuity in packaging aesthetics, mirroring the debut design of the Core i9-13900K/KS.
The processor will be nestled within a deep blue box, featuring a plastic silicon wafer casing. The external packaging prominently displays the “i9 14th Gen” and “Intel Core Unlocked” inscriptions. The initial rollout of the 14th-generation Core processor encompasses six variants. In addition to the Core i9-14900K/KF, the lineup also includes the Core i7-14700K/KF and Core i5-14600K/KF.
