Intel Core i7-12650H processor appeared in the Geekbench database
Intel is very likely to launch Alder Lake-P mobile processors at CES next month, unlike the Alder Lake-S desktop platform in Core i5 non-K series and lower basic products, there is no E-Core difference. All products of the mobile platform of Alder Lake-P are P-Core and E-Core, so for the 12-generation Core mobile processor, you can’t just look at the number of cores, but it depends on how it is assembled.
The Core i7-12650H processor that recently appeared in the Geekbench database, has only 10 cores, which seems to have fewer cores than the Intel Core i5-12500H processor. But the 10-core of Core i7-12650H is actually composed of 6 P-Cores plus 4 E-Cores, while Core i5-12500H has 4 P-Cores plus 8 E-Cores, although both are 16 threads. But obviously, the Core i7-12650H with 6 P-Core has better performance.
In addition, the GPU of Core i7-12650H has also been cut. The complete Alder Lake-P GPU should have 96 groups of EU, while it has only 64 groups. The highest GPU frequency is 1300MHz, and the performance is roughly GTX 760 to RX 550 level.
