Intel Core i3-14100 CPU price revealed
Recently, ECSM announced that Intel has finalized the release date for its 14th generation non-K Core processors, scheduled for 3 PM Pacific Time on January 8, 2024. As the launch date approaches, an increasing number of details about the 14th generation non-K Core processors are surfacing online.
A user (@momomo_us) recently spotted the yet-to-be-released Intel Core i3-14100 CPU listed on ShopBLT for $150.27. At the same time, the price of the Intel Core i3-13100 CPU at the same store was noticed to be $148.49, slightly higher than Intel’s official recommended price range of $134-$144. Thus, the listed price for the Core i3-14100 CPU may not reflect Intel’s final retail price, but it does suggest that the price difference between the two generations is minimal.
According to ECSM’s test data and available information, the Core i3-14100 is built using Intel’s 7 (10nm) process technology, with an H0 stepping. It features a pure performance core design with 4 cores and 8 threads. The base frequency is 3.5GHz, with a turbo frequency of up to 4.7GHz. It has a 12MB L3 cache and continues to use the UHD 730 integrated graphics. The TDP is rated at 60W, and under the AIDA64 FPU stress test, the all-core turbo frequency reaches 4.5GHz with a power consumption of around 68W. It supports DDR4-3200 and DDR5-4800 memory and is compatible with existing 600/700 series motherboards. Compared to the Core i3-13100, which has a base frequency of 3.4GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.5GHz (with an all-core turbo of 4.3GHz), the primary difference appears to be in the clock frequencies.
