i5-14400F: Intel’s Raptor Lake Refresh Offers Up to 5% Single-Core and 2% Multi-Core Improvement
In October, Intel launched the K-series products of its 14th generation Core processors, also known as Raptor Lake Refresh. The first six K/KF series models, designed for PC enthusiasts, are all unlocked versions. They are compatible with the existing 600/700 series motherboards and are currently on the market. For mainstream users, the more affordably priced non-K series Intel processors will require a bit more waiting time.
Recently, a netizen leaked details about the Intel Core i5-14400F on CPU-Z. The CPU’s core is identified as Raptor Lake, continuing to utilize the 10nm process. Its multiplier ranges from 4.0 to 47.0, meaning the CPU’s maximum frequency is 4.7 GHz. It boasts a 6P+4E core configuration, 20MB of L3 cache, and a TDP of 65W. In terms of benchmarking scores, the i5-14400F scores 765.5 in single-core and 6730.3 in multi-core tests, representing approximately a 5% and 2% improvement over the previous generation i5-13400F, though the increase is not substantial.
Barring any surprises, Intel is expected to unveil the remaining non-K series products of its 14th-generation Core processors at CES 2024.
