Huawei P40 will not include any Google apps
Recently, Huawei confirmed that the P40 and P40 Pro smartphones scheduled to be released in the first quarter of next year will be preinstalled with Huawei Mobile Services instead of Google Mobile Services (GMS). Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business, said that the P40 and P40 Pro will run Android 10, use Huawei’s EMUI interface layer, according to the French press.
This means that Huawei P40/40 Pro will not be pre-installed with Google Play Store, Gmail, YouTube, and Google Maps. Because of U.S. export restrictions, Google cannot authorize Huawei to use its GMS mobile service.
