Google started working with telecom operators to promote Google One
Some people may think that since this is the case, why not directly pay to upgrade to use the Google One storage plan. However, based on the current 2TB storage capacity plan, the monthly usage fee is $9.99, of which the space used by Google Photos to store photos will also be included in the 2TB capacity calculation item. The plan that Google cooperates with T-Mobile, billed at $15 per month, does not include the storage space of Google Photos in the 2TB storage capacity. It means that users can store more Gmail emails or Google Drive files through the 2TB capacity.
To sum it up, if you have a lot of e-mail and digital file storage needs for online use, plus a large number of digital photo storage needs, subscribing to this plan for $15 per month will be quite practical.
If there is no need for a large number of digital photo storage, the cooperation between T-Mobile and Google also provides additional storage plans for $5 and $10 per month, providing 500GB and 2TB of storage capacity, respectively. The $10 monthly billing plan also provides Google’s VPN service to ensure users’ online privacy and security.
Although it is currently exclusively cooperating with T-Mobile in the United States, it obviously also means that Google has begun to think about more cooperation models with telecom operators to promote its services. For example, it has previously worked with telcos to pay for Google Play Store paid downloads through monthly bills, or with telcos to offer discounted YouTube Premium or YouTube Music services.
The model of cooperation with T-Mobile to provide Google One online storage solution may be copied to other countries and regions in the future, and even provide more different application solutions.
