Google introduces auto-delete features to location history and activity data
Recently, Google announced a new privacy-only automatic removal option to automatically delete location history and web and app activity after a period of time. You can now choose to manually delete your information or delete it every three months or every 18 months. When these settings are enabled, Google will periodically erase your data on your phone.
Google’s Location History keeps track of where you’ve visited, and Web & App Activity tracks the websites you’ve visited and the apps you’ve used, and Google uses this information for content and ad recommendations and across devices.
Google said that new controls for location history and web and app activity will be available in the next few weeks.
