Google Chrome automates the creation of Create Tab groups
Google Chrome has launched a new version earlier that brings tab group functionality. The so-called tab group is to classify certain tags of the same type into the same tab group.
Of course, it doesn’t really matter whether they are similar labels, after all, the current tab group function is to manually create and add tabs, so how to classify it depends on the user.
Since users manually create and add tab groups, there are certainly not many users who use this function. After all, everyone seems to be accustomed to using tab groups for classification.
In order to improve the utilization rate and user efficiency, Google engineers are trying to bring intelligent automation to create services, and automatically organize the same tab pages for users.
A few days ago, Google engineers submitted new code to the Chromium project to mention the automatic creation of tab groups, and similar experimental options have appeared in the Canary version.
After enabling this option, we would not create a tab group, so this experimental option is temporarily invalid. However, the experimental option description mentions that if this option is enabled, when a tab with the same domain is opened in the parent tab, Google Chrome will automatically create a tab group.
Of course, it is still unclear what it looks like to automatically create a tab group. In terms of development progress, it will take at least 2 to 3 months for this feature to reach a stable channel.
