Google Chrome adds sharing feature via QR code
Google Chrome also has many attempts in cross-platform sharing. Recently, Google is developing and testing new features to use the QR code for sharing a web page. The web page on the computer can generate a QR code address and users can quickly access it by scanning the code.
Google Chrome is currently testing the QR code generation feature in the Canary. After opening this experimental option, the option to generate a QR code will appear in the right-click menu. The reason for providing this function is that many mobile phones’ native cameras now support code scanning. For example, iOS cameras can recognize QR codes and jump to related apps.
To turn on the QR code sharing feature, you can go to chrome://flags/#sharing-qr-code-generator and switch to Enable.
