Gigabyte’s Mysterious Computex Motherboard: Z890 AORUS XTREME in the Spotlight?
Recently, GIGABYTE celebrated the 10th anniversary of the AORUS brand on its social media account and announced that it will display the “next-generation motherboard” at the Computex 2024. The preview did not mention specific models, but the accompanying image featured a silhouette of the motherboard, sparking much speculation.
According to VideoCardz, the product likely to be showcased is the Z890 AORUS XTREME motherboard. This conjecture is based on several factors: first, the tags matching the social media descriptions suggest that the lineup includes both XTREME and MASTER models; second, such a significant event warrants the unveiling of a high-end, flagship product; third, recent leaks indicate that Gigabyte is focusing on the new “AI TOP” model, narrowing down the possibilities; and finally, the provided silhouette closely resembles the existing Z790 AORUS XTREME model.
Previous reports indicated that the Gigabyte AORUS series would introduce at least eight Z890 motherboards, including:
- Z890 AORUS XTREME AI TOP
- Z890 AORUS MASTER AI TOP
- Z890 AI TOP
- Z890 AORUS MASTER
- Z890 AORUS PRO ICE
- Z890 AORUS ELITE WIFI
- Z890 AORUS ELITE AX
- Z890 AORUS ELITE X ICE
In addition to the regular models, Gigabyte’s new generation of products includes three models with the “AI TOP” suffix, rumored to be optimized specifically for AI, potentially featuring BIOS function tuning and more extensive expansion interfaces. The Z890 AORUS XTREME, showcased at Computex 2024, might become one of the first pairings for the next-generation Arrow Lake-S processors.
