GIGABYTE will launch the Radeon RX 6800 XT with a new design
Currently, Gigabyte has released four models of RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT graphics cards, which all appear to be similar. The primary difference between them lies in their different frequencies or corresponding OC models. According to recent reports, Gigabyte may further expand its game graphics card lineup for the RX 6800 series by releasing a Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card with a brand new design.
As reported by Videocardz, Gigabyte has not updated its RX 6000 series graphics card lineup for quite some time, since the release of the Radeon RX 6X70 series in mid-2022. If Gigabyte successfully releases the new design for the Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card, it will be the first update to its RDNA2 architecture graphics cards in almost a year.
Videocardz has received some model photos of the upcoming Radeon RX 6800 XT GAMING OC PRO. However, this graphics card is not yet listed on Gigabyte’s official website. By comparison, it is evident that the PRO model of the RX 6800 XT graphics card is significantly larger than the original version, with a size of at least 33 cm (compared to the original’s 28.6 cm).
Upon further inspection, Videocardz found that this RX 6800 XT graphics card uses the same heatsink as Gigabyte’s flagship desktop model RX 6950XT gaming graphics card, with a pair of HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4a display interfaces. In addition, the GAMING OC PRO uses three 8-pin power connectors instead of the standard two.
Currently, the specifications of the RX 6800 XT GAMING PRO graphics card are not fully confirmed. However, it is expected to have a higher core frequency than the original RX 6800 series GAMING graphics card, which has a frequency of 2285MHz.
