GIGABYTE Releases New BIOS Version for X670/B650 Series Motherboards

At this year’s CES 2023, AMD introduced three desktop processors using its Zen 4 architecture and 3D V-Cache technology: the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and Ryzen 7 7800X3D, all with a TDP of 120W and an increased L3 cache capacity of 64MB. With the Ryzen 7000X3D series processors on the horizon, ASRock and MSI have gradually released new firmware, and ASUS has a beta version available.

Gigabyte has announced the release of a new BIOS for its X670/B650 series motherboards to support the Ryzen 7000X3D series processors. The firmware will be based on the AGESA 1.0.0.5 microcode to fully unleash the performance of the new processors. With Gigabyte providing the new BIOS, all four major Taiwanese motherboard manufacturers’ X670/B650 series motherboards will provide the necessary support when the Ryzen 7000X3D series processors are released.

According to TechPowerup, Gigabyte has already uploaded the new BIOS and related drivers to its official website. Users can update their BIOS through familiar methods, such as the Gigabyte BIOS update tool (@BIOS), Q-Flash, or Q-Flash Plus, and even without installing the processor, memory, or graphics card to enjoy the benefits of new BIOS code and processors.

The Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Ryzen 9 7900X3D will be the first to be available on February 28, with suggested retail prices of $699 and $599, respectively. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be on the market on April 6th, with a suggested retail price of $449, which should be a product that most gamers are interested in.
