NVIDIA released GeForce 416.16 drivers: support Windows 10 October Update

NVIDIA recently released the first GeForce driver for Windows 10 version 1809 (October 2018 Update) and advised customers to install them as soon as possible. It turns out that the previous version of the Game Ready driver was released only a few days ago, but because the new operating system feature update may be affected by compatibility issues, the update is advanced.

Microsoft works closely with partners on hardware drivers to ensure that most hardware runs smoothly, but sometimes it fails, and the Intel driver on the day of the October update push forced Microsoft to block specific systems earlier this week.
GeForce 416.16 also includes fixes for many games and applications on Windows 10. For example, it solves the black square fault with soft shadows enabled in Quake HD Remix and finally addresses the performance degradation problem of Rainbow 6: Siege.
Note that the list of known issues includes Windows 10 app crashes that users may also encounter in October 2018. NVIDIA said that Windows Media Player might crash under certain circumstances. Although this is a known bug, it is currently not resolved.
