EVGA X570S DARK motherboard exposed

EVGA released a 9-second trailer some time ago, which revealed the AMD Ryzen and EVGA DARK logos. Obviously, EVGA is preparing DARK series motherboards for the AM4 platform. This is the time when EVGA has once again made AMD motherboards after many years, and their last cooperation is already in the age of nForce.

Facebook user Vince Lucido released a picture of EVGA X570S DARK. This motherboard has a very interesting place, that is, the CPU interface is arranged by 90°, and the Z590 DARK motherboard launched by EVGA half a year ago also adopted this layout.

The motherboard is obviously optimized for overclocking. The PCB may have 10 layers. From the perspective of the component layout of the backplane, the CPU VRM power supply scale is not large. There are only two memory slots. The power supply interface includes 24pin and two 8pin CPU power supplies. There is also a 6pin PCI-E auxiliary power supply.

In terms of interfaces, it can be seen that there are two PCI-E x16 directly connected to the CPU, with two M.2 interfaces sandwiched between them. There is also a PCI-E x1 port at the bottom of the motherboard. The backplane I/O is not clear. It is certain that there is a USB Type-C port and two WiFi antennas, indicating that it must have a wireless network card.

But to be honest, EVGA is also very interesting to point out the AM4 platform motherboard at this time, because AMD will release the AM5 platform next year, and the CPU and memory will be replaced by new ones. At this time, it is quite surprising to have an overclocked flagship on the AM4 platform.
