Euro Galaxy S24 Showdown: Budget Boost vs. Ultra Upgrade
Earlier this month, we reported on the leaked detailed specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, a revelation likely spurred by the proximity of the series’ unveiling. Recently, significant information about this phone has surfaced again.
According to reports from galaxyclub and wccftech, the European pricing for the Galaxy S24 series has been revealed. Compared to its predecessors, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are priced lower, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra sees a price increase. The specific details are as follows:
- Galaxy S24 8GB+128GB: 899 Euros
- Galaxy S24 8GB+256GB: 959 Euros
- Galaxy S24+ 12GB+256GB: 1,149 Euros
- Galaxy S24+ 12GB+512GB: 1,269 Euros
- Galaxy S24 Ultra 12GB+256GB: 1,449 Euros
- Galaxy S24 Ultra 12GB+512GB: 1,569 Euros
For context, the starting prices for the previous models, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, were 959 Euros, 1,219 Euros, and 1,419 Euros, respectively. The data reveals that in comparison to this year’s Galaxy S23 series, the standard, and versions of the Galaxy S24 series have experienced a price decrease, while the Ultra version has become more expensive.
The speculated reason for the Ultra’s price increase, as suggested by galaxyclub, is likely due to the Galaxy S24 Ultra discontinuing the 8GB RAM option, standardizing a 12GB RAM configuration across the model.
However, both sources emphasize that these figures only reflect the European pricing for the series. Prices in markets outside Europe may vary, and according to previous reports, a significant price increase for the Galaxy S24 series in other regions seems unlikely.
It is now almost certain that the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be officially unveiled on January 18, 2024, Korean time. The series is expected to feature the third-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform and fast charging capabilities, supporting up to 8K video recording. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is set to exclusively feature a titanium alloy body.
