Entry-level iPad 11 could launch later this year

As previously reported, Apple is set to host a special event titled “Let Loose” on May 7, 2024, during which it will unveil new iPad products, some rumored to be equipped with the M4 chip. Despite Apple’s keen focus on enhancing the product strength of the new iPad Pro and iPad Air, there are also rumors of Apple’s efforts in developing an entry-level iPad 11, priced below the iPad 10, yet nearly identical in functionality.

The forthcoming iPad 11 entry-level model not only sports a fresh design but also boasts significant improvements in its specifications. Compared to its predecessors, this device will feature a more advanced processor with enhanced graphics capabilities, slimmer bezels, and a power button integrated with Touch ID. Despite these substantial upgrades, Apple still intends to reduce the price of the entry-level iPad 11 to attract more potential buyers. Moreover, the article suggests that the greater the differentiation between the iPad 11 entry-level and the iPad Air, the more prominent its product strength will become.

However, the article indicates that it is unlikely Apple will lower the price of the entry-level iPad 11 to $329 (approximately 2,381 RMB); rather, its price may fall between the iPad 10 and iPad 9, with an anticipated release later this year.

The “Let Loose” event is soon to commence, with leaks suggesting that Apple will introduce new iPad Pro models, a new iPad Air, and an entirely new Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil, potentially marking one of the most significant single-day updates in Apple’s tablet history. The highlight of the event will be the OLED version of the iPad Pro, available in 11-inch and 12.9-inch models. Rumors suggest that the 12.9-inch OLED panels will be exclusively produced by LG, while the 11-inch panels will be supplied by both LG and Samsung.
