Enermax launches PlatiGemini series power supply units
Enermax has announced the official launch of the PlatiGemini series power supply units, marking a significant advancement in the industry. These new products have garnered Intel ATX 3.1 and ATX12VO certifications, as well as the prestigious 80 PLUS Platinum certification, distinguishing them as the first power supply units globally to achieve such dual certification. They not only support mainstream 24Pin motherboards but are also compatible with the highly efficient 10Pin ATX12VO motherboards, catering to the current and future technological needs of users.
The inaugural PlatiGemini series, boasting a rated power of 1200W, was previously showcased at CES 2024. With dimensions of 150 x 150 x 86 mm, it supports a maximum instantaneous power consumption of 235%, achieving an impressive conversion efficiency of up to 92% under normal loads and 74% at 2% low load. Moreover, it has proven its reliability by continuously operating at an ambient temperature of 50°C. Enermax provides comprehensive protection for this new power supply, including Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), Over Power Protection (OPP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), and Over Temperature Protection (OTP), ensuring performance and stability under demanding workloads.
The PlatiGemini 1200W model features Enermax’s patented “Dust Free Rotation (DFR) Technology” with an industrial-grade 135mm dual ball bearing fan and a DFR activation button. This innovative self-cleaning solution can blow away dust from the fan blades and frame within 10 seconds after the power is on, enhancing airflow within the unit. Its semi-fanless mechanism allows the fan to remain idle until the system load reaches 60% or when overheating occurs, offering users absolute silence at 0 dB(A). Enermax has equipped the power supply with modular cable management, including a 600W native 12V-12×6 cable that is flexible and easy to install, facilitating wire management.
The PlatiGemini 1200W power supply is currently available for sale in the United States, with launches in Europe and other regions slated for the following month.
