Cyberpunk 2077 Releases Patch 1.61: Support AMD FSR 2.1 technology
CD Projekt Red announced an update to Cyberpunk 2077, releasing a patch 1.61, adding support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 2.1 technology, and fixing many bugs.
AMD released FSR 2.1 in September this year, which updated the algorithm to improve game quality while reducing artifacts such as ghosting and splash screens. Since FSR 2.1 is still an open-source technology, in addition to AMD’s Radeon graphics cards, it can also be used for NVIDIA’s GeForce graphics cards, and some GPUs with older architectures can also be supported, with good adaptability. CD Projekt Red still didn’t add the DLSS 3.0 used by the GeForce RTX 40-series graphics card demo to Cyberpunk 2077, opting instead to add FSR 2.1 first, probably because the latter could benefit more players.
This time, the 1.61 patch of Cyberpunk 2077 is not only for PC, but also Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 game consoles, and even includes Google’s game streaming service Stadia. Since Stadia will close its service in January next year, CD Projekt Red has also provided players with a save transfer function, which can transfer the saved data of cloud games to a PC.
