Cyberpunk 2077 released version 1.63 update

CD Projekt Red has announced the release of update 1.63 for Cyberpunk 2077 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Among the myriad changes encompassed within this update, PC enthusiasts should be particularly elated as the performance of DLSS frame generation on AMD processors has been enhanced, thus eliminating the problem of stuttering. Furthermore, the visual colour issues associated with DLSS and ray tracing have been rectified.

For the PC version, beyond the performance issue of DLSS frame generation on AMD processors, the update also amends a crash issue that occurred when initiating Razer Chroma and rectifies a glitch where photo mode screenshots would display as empty files, returning them to their original folder location.

In the realm of Xbox Series X/S consoles, CD Projekt Red has altered the number of save slots available on the Xbox platform, including 20 manual saves and 10 critical turning point saves. Players exceeding the new save limit will need to eliminate some saves to create new ones. Moreover, an issue affecting the performance of the Xbox Series X/S after prolonged gameplay has been addressed.

The problems addressed in this update are fairly common among players, such as bright colour flashes on the edges of some objects when DLSS is activated, abnormal display of stickers and frames in photo mode during screenshots, greying out of the FSR switch when the game is restarted after activating dynamic resolution adjustment, and inability to use devices after opening the map.

As per CD Projekt Red’s schedule, the latest Cyberpunk 2077 DLC, Phantom Liberty, is set to launch officially on September 26, 2023.
