Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 will be delayed until next month due to hacking
According to the latest report, CDPR, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077, announced that the upcoming major update patch will be postponed until next month. The reason for the postponement is that hackers have carried out a major cyber attack on it, and company developers cannot use computers to work.
The large-scale cyber attack encountered by CDPR caused the disclosure of personal private information of employees, including information such as employees’ Polish ID numbers and passports. In order to prevent further losses, the CDPR company requires employees who are working at home to freeze their development accounts and send their computers to the company to be scanned for malware.
Our goal for Patch 1.2 goes beyond any of our previous updates. We’ve been working on numerous overall quality improvements and fixes, and we still have work to do to make sure that’s what you get. With that in mind, we’re now aiming for release in the second half of March. 2/3

CDPR’s move will cause employees to be unable to work in the next two weeks, so the delay of the Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 seems to have become a matter of course.
CDPR stated on the matter: “Our goal for Patch 1.2 goes beyond any of our previous updates. We’ve been working on numerous overall quality improvements and fixes, and we still have work to do to make sure that’s what you get. With that in mind, we’re now aiming for release in the second half of March.”
