Core i7-12700K CPU-Z single thread over 800 points

Last month, some users on the Internet exposed that a certain model of processor scored 825 points in the CPU-Z single-thread benchmark test. The picture does not show the specific model of the processor, but it can be basically judged as Intel’s Core i9-12900K processor (8C+8c/24T) through 24 threads. This score is 27% higher than the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor’s 648 points and nearly 20% higher than the current Core i9-11900K processor’s 682 points. Although the multi-threaded benchmark test results have been blurred, it can be seen that the two processors have comparable results.

Recently, Twitter user @TUM_APISAK leaked the test results of another Alder Lake-S processor. The picture shows the Core i7-12700K, which scored 800.2 points in the CPU-Z single-thread benchmark test and 9423.2 points in the multi-thread benchmark test. Unlike the 8C+8c/24T of the Core i9-12900K, the Core i7-12700K is the 8C+4c/20T configuration. From the performance point of view, the single thread is slightly weaker than the Core i9-12900K, but it also exceeds 800 points, and the multi-thread is equivalent to the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X.
