CAPCOM confirms that Resident Evil 4 will be released in 2023

After completing remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, CAPCOM announced Resident Evil 4: Remake during Sony’s “State Of Play” live event. In addition to the PlayStation 5, it will also land on the Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms simultaneously, and the PC version seems to be exclusive to Steam.

Capcom has confirmed a March 24, 2023 release date for Resident Evil 4: Remake, eighteen years after the original was released in 2005. Capcom said that “Resident Evil 4: Remake” will have very improved picture quality, integrate new elements on the basis of the original work, reconstruct the storyline of the game, and combine it with action, shooting and resource management, etc. Catering to the development of new-age horror survival games, the style of the new game will completely change the Resident Evil series, setting the standard for subsequent games.

Capcom also confirmed that Resident Evil: Village will be available for PlayStation VR2. It will take advantage of its 4K HDR display, eye tracking, and PlayStation 5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech, among many other features, to give players a more immersive gaming experience.

In addition, Capcom announced that Street Fighter VI will be released in 2023. The emergence of a number of heavyweight works has made Capcom the star of Sony’s “State Of Play” live event.
