Biostar Releases B650M-SILVER Motherboard: support EXPO and XMP memory modules
BIOSTAR announced the launch of the B650M-SILVER motherboard, which supports AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series processors based on the Zen 4 architecture. This motherboard is equipped with AMD’s latest B650 chipset, using the Micro-ATX specification, which supports AMD EXPO and Intel XMP memory modules.
B650M-SILVER continues the iconic design language and appearance style of the previous series, adopting a 10+2+2 phase digital PWM power supply, 90A Dr.MOS. It can realize the stable output of the platform, providing excellent performance and durability. It provides four DDR5 memory slots, supports the highest DDR5-6000+ specification, and the maximum capacity is 128GB; equipped with one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (x16 mode or x8 mode), one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (x4 mode) and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot; provides two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots and four SATA III interfaces. There’s also a 2230 M.2 slot for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, supporting either AMD or Intel’s Wi-Fi 6E modules.
The B650M-SILVER is also equipped with one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 port, three USB 3.2 Gen2 ports (one for the front and two for the rear), two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, six USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI 1.4 interface, a DP 1.2 interface, a 2.5Gbps network card interface (Realtek RTL8125B), and even a PS/2 interface. The audio solution is Realtek ALC1220. This motherboard is also equipped with a BIOS UPDATE button. In addition, it also supports Vivid LED DJ and LED ROCK ZONE RGB, users can create personalized lighting effects according to their preferences.
According to Biostar, the B650M-SILVER is a mid-range motherboard built for today’s market demands with the latest features and functions suitable for gamers, content creators, or casual users. Biostar has not yet provided the price and the specific time to market.
