Biostar Releases A620MT Motherboard: Support single 24GB & 48GB DDR5 memory
Biostar heralds the introduction of the A620MT motherboard, which extends support to AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series processors, built upon the Zen 4 architecture. This motherboard, furnished with AMD’s latest B620 chipset, employs a Micro-ATX specification (22.1cm x 23.5cm), striking a balance between a plethora of user requirements ranging from office applications to the assembly of home entertainment systems.
The A620MT comes equipped with two DDR5 memory slots, accommodating DDR5-6000+ specifications, along with individual capacities of 8/16/24/32/48GB. The maximum memory capacity has been boosted from the previous 64GB to a generous 96GB. The motherboard houses a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (with support for bifurcation into dual x8 channels) and a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. Moreover, it provides an M.2 slot (NVMe / AHCI SSD) supporting PCIe 4.0 x4 channels, capable of accommodating SSDs of 2242/ 2260/ 2280 specifications. In addition, there are four SATA III interfaces that support RAID 0/1/5/10 configurations.
On the rear I/O, the A620MT is adorned with four USB 3.2 Gen1 interfaces, two USB 2.0 interfaces, an HDMI 1.4 interface, a DP 1.2 interface, a gigabit network card interface (Realtek RTL8111H), and a BIOS UPDATE button. The audio solution is provided by the Realtek ALC897, supporting 7.1 channels. Furthermore, the motherboard reserves an expansion socket each for a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C interface and a USB 3.2 Gen1 interface for front I/O, plus two USB 2.0 expansion sockets.
