Bethesda announced that “Starfield” will be delayed until September 6th for release
Developed by Bethesda Game Studios, “Starfield” is a highly anticipated game among many players this year, with its new space theme attracting a lot of attention. Over the past two years, Microsoft and Bethesda have been actively promoting this game and have maintained high interest. Due to various reasons, the release date of “Starfield” was postponed from the originally planned date of November 11, 2022, to the first half of this year, and now it has been delayed again.
Bethesda announced that the release date of “Starfield” has been postponed to September 6, 2023, targeting PC and Xbox Series S/X game consoles. The game will also be included in the Game Pass subscription service on the day of its release. At the same time, Bethesda will hold a special press conference on June 11, where the game’s specific content will be introduced in detail. Bethesda has also released a new promotional video, which includes new in-game footage, including exploration of various star systems, showcasing creatures, and some combat and equipment systems on planets.
Since it was previously reported that Bethesda would announce the game’s release date in March, this news is not too surprising. However, the final release date of the game is later than expected, as more people initially believed it would be released in June, which means players will have to wait a few more months. Bethesda has high hopes for “Starfield” and hopes it will become their third major IP following “Fallout” and “The Elder Scrolls”.
From another perspective, it is not surprising that Bethesda has postponed the release of “Starfield” due to the fierce competition among several major games releasing around June, such as “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” on May 26, “Street Fighter 6” on June 2, “Diablo IV” on June 6, and “Final Fantasy XVI” on June 22.
