ASUS Releases RX 7900 TUF Gaming Series Graphics Cards
After AMD just released the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics cards based on the next-generation RDNA 3 architecture GPU, ASUS also launched the products for the first time.
ASUS’s first products belong to the TUF Gaming series, namely TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX and TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT, which also Asus’ first gaming graphics card to support DisplayPort 2.1 technology, with an all-metal backplane, and dual BIOS switches.
ASUS said that this model will use three 8pin external power supply interfaces, one more than the AMD public version of the RX 7900 series, uses a 17+4 phase power supply, and is equipped with a larger fan. The thickness has also increased a lot, reaching 3.5 slots. The volume of the entire cooling module is much larger, and the total cooling area has increased by 22.8%. Asus says it can increase airflow by 13.8% and wind pressure by 8% compared to the previous generation while maintaining the same noise level. In terms of display output interfaces, Asus provides three DisplayPort 2.1 interfaces and one HDMI 2.1 interface but does not have a USB-C interface like the public version.
The Radeon RX 7900 XTX has 6144 stream processors, 24GB of GDDR6 video memory, a 384-bit video memory bit width, a video memory speed of 20 Gbps, a video memory bandwidth of 960 GB/s, and an Infinity Cache of 96MB. The Radeon RX 7900 XT uses a reduced Navi 31, 5376 stream processors, 20GB of GDDR6 video memory, a 320-bit video memory bit width, a video memory rate of 20 Gbps, a video memory bandwidth of 800 GB/s, and an Infinity Cache of 80MB.
ASUS has not yet announced the factory frequency and pricing of the new graphics card, but it is confirmed that it will be launched in December. ASUS TUF Gaming series products are not ASUS’s highest-end product line, and their pricing will be relatively friendly.
