ASUS releases ExpertBook B3 Detachable 2-in-1 laptop

ASUS released a new 10.5-inch ExpertBook B3 Detachable 2-in-1 laptop at CES 2022. The 2-in-1 laptop is powered by a Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 processor, comes with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, and can run Windows 11 Home S or Windows 11 Pro.

In fact, this is not the first 2-in-1 laptop released by ASUS this year. The ROG Flow Z13 released earlier is a 2-in-1 laptop. However, the Flow Z13 is designed for game enthusiasts. After all, its positioning can already be seen from the 45W Core i9-12900H and RTX 3050 Ti GPU. The ExpertBook B3 released this time is aimed at a wider range of consumers.

The Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 on the ExpertBook B3 is an 8-core ARM processor with a maximum frequency of 2.55GHz. According to ASUS official statement, this ExpertBook B3 Detachable will have 4GB or 8GB LPDDR4 memory, and 64GB or 128GB eMMC storage space to choose from. In terms of screen, ExpertBook B3 will use a 1920*1200 screen with a ratio of 16:10, and the highest peak brightness can reach 320 nits, but the color parameters are lackluster, 87% of the NTSC color gamut is basically nothing to watch. The battery capacity is 38 Wh.

Although the weight of the fuselage itself is very light, only about 630 grams, if the bracket and keyboard are added, the weight of the whole machine can reach about 1.05 kilograms, which is still relatively light level. The device is also equipped with a USB 3.0 Type-C interface, a 3.5mm audio interface, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 13-megapixel rear camera, which is basically a general office configuration. At present, ASUS has still not announced the price of ExpertBook B3.
