ASUS has taken over the Intel NUC product line

Last month, Intel released a formal declaration, asserting a pivot in their established strategy, entailing no further direct investments in the NUC business sector. Subsequent to this revelation, Intel announced a partnership with ASUS, wherein the latter would undertake the manufacturing, sales, and support for the 10th through 13th generation NUC product lines and spearhead the development and design of prospective NUC systems.

From September 1st, 2023, ASUS proclaimed the incorporation of Intel’s NUC product line under its aegis, with the corresponding web pages already launched. Pursuant to the mutual agreement, ASUS will shoulder the ongoing endeavors of the NUC product line. In line with this commitment, ASUS has inaugurated a new dedicated division titled “ASUS NUC BU” to oversee the subsequent undertakings.

ASUS holds an unyielding conviction that this collaboration with Intel will amplify and expedite their vision for mini PCs, significantly augmenting ASUS’s footprint in realms such as artificial intelligence and AIoT. Simultaneously, they pledge an unwavering dedication to ensuring the exemplary support and service that NUC system clientele anticipate. NUC products, quintessentially semi-systems, come devoid of components like memory and storage. This allows users the liberty to tailor their PCs with components of their predilection, catering to specific requisites.

Earlier reports suggested ASUS is in the throes of prepping the ROG NUC, slated to supplant the extant NUC Extreme (codenamed Raptor Canyon), and to be equipped with the imminent Meteor Lake processor. It’s rumored that the ROG NUC will flaunt a futuristic design aesthetic, bedecked with a plethora of RGB lighting effects.
