ASUS announced the release of the RTX 4080 Noctua Edition

At the beginning of this year, ASUS and Noctua joined forces once again to launch the GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition, continuing their collaboration. According to ASUS, the new graphics card is based on the RTX 30 series Noctua edition and is designed to be the quietest air-cooled RTX 4080 graphics card on the market, thanks to the combination of Noctua’s fan design and ASUS’s custom heatsink.

ASUS has announced that the GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition is now available for purchase at a price of $1650. Compared to the $1199 of the GeForce RTX 4080 Founders Edition, the new Noctua edition is priced significantly higher.

The overall size of the GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition is 310 x 145 x 87.5 mm, with a thickness of 4.3 slots to provide more space for the fans and improve heat dissipation. It is equipped with two Noctua NF-A12x25 fans in Noctua’s standard color scheme (beige and brown), and the engineers have made detailed adjustments to the fin structure, density, and arrangement of the heat pipes, optimizing the airflow characteristics of the fans while taking into account low noise, high heat dissipation performance, and smooth acoustic characteristics.

ASUS has also provided a larger heatsink for the GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition, which keeps the peak temperature at only 61.7°C when the graphics card is running at 320W power consumption while keeping the noise level at the same level as the previous generation product. In terms of appearance, the new graphics card still uses a custom brown protective cover, with the ASUS and Noctua logos on the front and side, and a pattern on the full-length alloy backplate, making it more coordinated when paired with other Noctua components.

The new graphics card has a boost clock of 2625MHz, slightly higher than the reference design of 2505MHz. The graphics card is equipped with dual BIOS, with the quiet mode enabled by default to minimize noise. In terms of display output, the GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition has three DisplayPort 1.4a ports and two HDMI 2.1 ports.
