ASRock launches NUC 1200 Box Mini PCs
After Intel released the desktop and mobile high-performance 12th-generation Core, it recently upgraded NUC products and launched the Dragon Canyon, which is positioned as an enthusiast. However, the NUC for mainstream use has not yet been launched, and now ASRock has announced their NUC 1200 BOX Series Mini PCs with 12th Gen Intel Core Processors (Alder Lake-P).
Since Ingle has not officially launched the 12th-generation Core of the U series, therefore, the ASRock NUC 1200 Box uses the newly added P-series CPU of this generation. There are three options available, including i7-1260P 4P+8E, 96EU), i5-1240P (4P+8E, 80EU), and i3-1220P (2P+8E, 64EU). The maximum TDP can reach 28W, which is considered excessive performance on a small NUC.
The memory is DDR4-3200 with two SO-DIMM slots, which can support a maximum capacity of 64GB, and there are two PCI-E 4.0 M.2 SSDs for storage. It can also expand a 2.5-inch SATA hard disk, etc., and also has TPM 2.0 onboard. Therefore, ASRock NUC 1200 Box Mini is an ultra-small object with a volume of only 110*117.5*47.85. It is no problem to play ultra-high-definition videos and play online games.
However, the NUC 1200 Box Mini is not equipped with Thunderbolt 4, but only has two full-featured Type-C, plus DP and HDMI interfaces. A maximum of 4 monitors can be connected, and the power hole uses 19v DC, which does not support the PD power supply. However, compared with Intel’s own NUC, it provides two 2.5Gb network ports.
Since these products of ASRock are mainly for the industrial and commercial market, the retail price is unknown.
