Apple will end support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on Safari in March 2020

Apple announced today on its WebKit blog that they will discontinue support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 from March 2020. TLS is a secure protocol used to protect network traffic. Before the plan was deprecated, Apple recommended that applications and website operators adopt TLS 1.2, which provides “more security for modern networks.”
Microsoft disable Transport Layer Security
“Transport Layer Security (TLS), and its now-deprecated predecessor, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), are cryptographic protocols designed to provide communications security over a computer network. Several versions of the protocols find widespread use in applications such as web browsing, email, instant messaging, and voice over IP (VoIP). Websites can use TLS to secure all communications between their servers and web browsers.”
TLS 1.2 is already the standard on the Apple platform and is currently running on a 99.6% Safari connection. TLS 1.0 and 1.1 account for less than 0.36% of all connections.
Other browsers, including Firefox, Chrome and Microsoft Edge, also plan to abandon TLS 1.0 and 1.1 support in early 2020.
