AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper PRO Reaches New Heights with 210,702 Cinebench R23 Points
AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX processor has elevated the core count of desktop processors to an unprecedented 96 cores. Since its launch, numerous enthusiasts have utilized it to shatter various records. Recently, the South Korean overclocker SAFEDISK has propelled the Cinebench R23 score to a staggering 210,702 points with this processor, establishing a new benchmark for all workstation processors.
In its default state, the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX achieves a Cinebench R23 score of 100,291. The record under air cooling is 161,259, while under water cooling, it reaches 167,309. SAFEDISK has now pushed the processor’s frequency to 6.25GHz using liquid nitrogen, with a voltage of 1.62V and a temperature of -18℃, culminating in an unprecedented Cinebench R23 score of 210,702, more than doubling the processor’s default score.
SAFEDISK used the ASUS PRO WS WRX90-SAGE SE motherboard for this feat, which boasts 41 power phases and five CPU 8-pin power connectors. This robust power delivery was instrumental in achieving the successful overclock. During the process, 256GB of G.Skill ZETA Z5 NEO DDR5 memory was installed.
Currently, AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper and EPYC processors dominate the top 10 positions in the Cinebench R23 multithreaded hall of fame. The 11th spot is held by Intel’s Xeon Platinum 8360H. However, it appears that Intel is unlikely to catch up with AMD in the coming years unless they introduce products with more cores in the HEDT and workstation segments. For now, this market segment seems firmly in AMD’s grasp.
