AMD Ryzen 7000 series will support DDR5-5600
Previously, a technical article introducing DDR5 memory by memory manufacturer Apacer revealed the memory support of some of AMD’s upcoming processors, showing that desktop and server processors based on the Zen 4 architecture, that is, Raphael and Genoa, both start with DDR5-5200 specifications.
Recently, Twitter user @KittyYYuko revealed that the desktop CPU of Zen 4 architecture codenamed Raphael will also natively support DDR5-5600 specifications, which is 7.5% higher than DDR5-5200 frequency and 16.5% higher than DDR5-4800, which is higher than the original expectation. It is rumored that Raptor Lake, which Intel is preparing to launch this year, will also support DDR5-5600. Perhaps competitors’ specifications in DDR5 support have prompted AMD to do the same.
The news refers to AMD’s Zen 4 architecture desktop CPU with 3D V-Cache technology, codenamed Raphael-X, named Ryzen 7000X3D series, and memory will also support DDR5-5600 specifications, which will be released next year. In addition, the FCLK range of these new CPUs will be between 1600MHz and 1800MHz.
