AMD releases Radeon Pro W7600 and Radeon Pro W7500
AMD has announced the launch of two new workstation graphics cards featuring the RDNA 3 architecture: the Radeon Pro W7600 and Radeon Pro W7500, both of which utilize a single-slot cooling solution. The former carries an official suggested retail price of $599, while the latter is priced at $429. The slated release period is marked as “the third quarter of 2023,” signifying that the new products will be available for purchase before the end of September.
According to AMD’s official benchmarking data, the performance of the Radeon Pro W7600 exceeds that of its predecessor, the Radeon Pro W6600, by 19%, whereas the Radeon Pro W7500 is 17% slower than the Radeon Pro W6600. AMD also conducted comparisons between its new graphics cards and Nvidia’s counterparts in areas such as 3D content creation, animation, 3D CAD, and visualization workloads. The assessment reveals that the Radeon Pro W7600 can provide professionals with performance superior to the RTX A2000, and the Radeon Pro W7500 outperforms the T1000 while also being more affordably priced.
The Radeon Pro W7600 and Radeon Pro W7500 workstation graphics cards are equipped with the Navi 33 XL GPU, manufactured using a 6nm process, and feature PCIe 4.0 x8 interfaces, with an Infinity Cache of 32MB. The two models are outfitted with 32 and 28 compute units (CUs) respectively, corresponding to 2048 and 1792 stream processors, with single-precision computational performance of 20 TFLOPS and 12 TFLOPS respectively. Both cards have 8GB of GDDR6 video memory, with a 128-bit memory width, and memory speeds of 18 Gbps and 11 Gbps respectively. Both are also furnished with four DisplayPort 2.1 ports; the overall power consumption is 130W and 70W respectively, with the former equipped with a 6Pin power connector, while the latter requires no external power supply.
Notably, the specifications and performance of the Radeon Pro W7600 are nearly analogous to the consumer-end Radeon RX 7600, and the Radeon Pro W7500 is a pared-down version with significantly lower power consumption. This suggests that similar products, such as the Radeon RX 7500, may be introduced to the consumer market in the future.
